Kevin works in the greater Edinburgh area illustrating both digitally and with pen & ink. He is influenced by the work of Gordon Macpherson and Mary Ellen Blanche Crookes (Miss C. Helard) and is a student of Mark Dennis, past Chairman of the Heraldry Society of Scotland, former Ormond Pursuivant of Arms and erstwhile Ross Herald Extraordinary. He is an elected Associate Craft Member of the Society of Heraldic Arts with international commissions from broad sources including The Court of the Lord Lyon as well as Earls, armigers, individuals and societies. Kevin digitally produces full colour achievements, silver cap badges and hand drawn illustrations in pen & ink using fountain pens, Japanese brush pens and fine-liners. His main body of work includes library illustrations, handmade cotton table banners and ex-libris for which he sources archival stock papers, alternative ink applications and embossing to deliver tactile art intended for use in a client’s library.
